Courses
Basic Survey
The student will have basic knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of mine surveying and measuring and tasks needed by an assistant.
4 Weeks
Basic Sampling
The course's main goal is to equip students with the necessary skills to work as a sampler both underground and in opencast mines. On completion of the course students will have a fundamental understanding of mine sampling and tasks needed by an assistant. The student will also be in a position to write and pass the Basic Sampling exam.
2 weeks
Elementary Survey
The student will be proficient in the use of advanced survey equipment and will have understanding of elementary survey principles with limited supervision. The student will also be in a position to write and pass the Elementary Survey exam.

Elementary Sampling
The student will have understanding and knowledge of sampling techniques and have the knowledge of understanding and creating sampling reports.

Advance Survey Theory
The surveyor will have understanding of advanced survey calculations, reporting and execution of survey procedures.

Advance Survey Practical
The surveyor will be equipped with practical application of survey equipment including resections, check surveys and advanced surveying. The practical survey will include tacheometry surveys

Advance Valuation
An in depth understanding of the ore flow process and calculations of Grade control, Ore flow, Mine Call Factor,and Block Factor.

MSC of C Mathematics
The surveyor will have understanding and application knowledge of mathematics as required in survey practice.

MSC of C Mine Legislation
The student will have knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation for MSC.

MSC of C Mine Economics 1
The student will be equipped in the application of Mining Economics and have the ability and knowledge to complete the Mining Economic project.

MSC of C Mine Economics 2
The student will be equipped in the application of Mining Economics and have the ability and knowledge to complete the Mining Economic project.

MSC of C Survey 1
The student will have knowledge and understanding of the problem solving calculations relating to survey applications.

The student will have knowledge and understanding of the problem solving calculations relating to survey applications.

Gyro Courses
The student will be equipped to conduct a gyro survey on surface and underground with the goal of obtaining the correct bearing of the bases for the underground survey system.

Gyro Refresher training
The student will be equipped to conduct a gyro survey on surface and underground with the goal of obtaining the correct bearing of the bases for the underground survey system.

Levelling (Precise Levelling )
The students will fully understand and be able to implement precise levelling surveys determining elevations according to Class A of limits of error as per Health Mine and Safety Act, chapter 17.
2 Days
Civil Engineering Survey
The student will have knowledge and understanding of the application of survey principles. The student will also understand the pressures and challenges of aligning plinth structures and set out points within the limits required.
3 Days
GPS RTK Systems
The student will be competent and have understanding of calibrations, setting out of coordinates, loading and downloading of data. The ability to process the information within the guidelines.

Drone RPL Training
The student will be able to be tested by the SACAA in the operation of the drone aircraft.
6 Days
Drone Survey Training
The certified drone operator will have understanding and the ability to determine the application required in surface surveying using the drone.

3D Scanning
The student will have knowledge and understanding in the correct technique and survey methods for large excavations, stockpiles and plant structures through 3D scanning process.

Modelmaker
Student will be able to use Modelmaker to calculate their daily work and issue reports accordingly

Students will understand the capability of the software and how they would like to use it leading into the intermediate course
